Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Accepting clients Last Updated 1 days ago

Hello, I'm Stephen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Alabama, Virginia, Georgia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland. With over 12 years of experience in mental health, I've had the privilege of working with diverse groups of children, adolescents, and adults across various settings, including medical social work, child welfare, mental health and chemical dependency, corrections, HIV/AIDS, and Veterans Affairs. My background in clinical social work, risk management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, brokerage, education, and facilitation has equipped me with the necessary skills to support clients from all walks of life effectively.

In my practice, I believe in meeting my clients where they are, utilizing both micro and macro level social work interventions. I understand that life can be challenging, and sometimes it feels like we're just trying to piece everything together to make it through the day. That's why I've built my practice model around the quote, "We're only as strong as our weakest link; therefore, do your best to strengthen someone today!" Every day, my goal is to help strengthen someone, including myself, in some area of their life. I believe in living with purpose so that we can win on purpose.

I specialize in a wide range of areas, including addiction, anger management, antisocial behavior, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, children's and adolescent mental/behavioral health, depression, dissociative disorders, family relationships, gender identity, grief/bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, military/veteran support, multicultural/diversity issues, narcissistic personality disorder, OCD, perinatal support, phobias, PTSD, intimate/romantic relationships, psychosis/schizophrenia, sex/intimacy issues, sleep disorders, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions.

If you're looking for a well-organized, highly motivated, and energetic team player dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges, I would be honored to work with you. Let's work together to strengthen and support you on your journey. Reach out today, and let's start this journey together.
