"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf" is a Jon Kabat-Zinn quote relevant to these challenging times. I help individuals become less stressed and more available to pursue their goals. Therapy should be a positive experience for you where you feel heard and supported and gain new insights into your feelings and experiences. Our sessions will be focused on you becoming restored and replenished with more energy for the things you value. Whether you are experiencing a short term challenge or ongoing struggle, it takes bravery to step forward and want to make changes in your life.
I'm a seasoned mental health counselor and school psychologist with experience supporting clients with life challenges. Our work together will be client centered, strength based and solution focused. We will utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and similar modalities to examine perceptions, remove blocks and identify healthier approaches to problem solving.
I will provide a safe environment to facilitate positive growth in your life. My approach is warm, non-judgmental and flexible as we work together to establish individualized goals and creative solutions specific to your needs. I invite you to contact me to tell me more about yourself and learn more about my therapy practice.
