New York State of Mind Psychotherapy & Wellness/ NYSOM
Provider Types
This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
- Clinical Social Work/Therapists
We have extensive experience working with young adults and college students, with a focus on anxiety, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, and the life transitions and adjustment challenges that come with the college years — including career planning and decision-making around majors and future paths. As founder and clinical director, I bring direct experience with this population from my time at the NYU Student Health Center, where I provided psychotherapy and crisis assessment to college students, and I currently work with students from Columbia in private practice as well. I look for that same population experience when I bring clinicians onto the team, so it runs through the practice rather than being one person's specialty. Our team is trained in CBT, DBT, ERP, ACT, and psychodynamic approaches, with treatment that's short-term and goal-directed. We accept a wide range of insurance plans, including Aetna and Cigna, and are currently accepting new clients.
