Hi I’m Dr. Barcebal! I’m a licensed clinical psychologist who takes great pleasure in helping individuals become aware of, and make choices toward living a more fulfilling life. Also, I am a proponent for social justice and equality and believes everyone deserves to feel loved, safe, and accepted.

I provide highly individualized care, with a focus on your unique qualities, abilities, and strengths. I provide a warm, non-judgmental environment that includes attentive listening, gentle support and guidance, but also some challenging of old patterns of thought and behavior. By exploring your thoughts, beliefs, and actions, you will be able to develop a greater understanding of yourself, as well as cultivate powerful tools to become a more resilient individual.

I specialize in treatment of anxiety, depression, stress, life-transitions, and the psychological effects of living with chronic pain and illness. In addition, I am passionate about supporting individuals in their process of personal growth. She utilizes a range of treatment methodologies including CBT, Mindfulness, Humanistic/Existentialism, Positive Psychology.

Dr. Barcebal received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has approximately seven years of experience instructing psychology courses at the post-secondary level.
