Personal and relational wellness are values in my heart and practice. There is nothing that brings me more joy than helping couples, families, and individuals improve their personal and relational wellness, build confidence, and find greater satisfaction and meaning in life.
Prior to my career in marriage and family therapy, I was a heavy metal musician. Later, I realized it was a clever outlet to cope with the affects of trauma. I also realized the powerful role that trauma plays in the lives of so many, particularly as it pertains to relationship satisfaction and overall life satisfaction.
The depth and diversity of my life experiences led me to a calling: to be a guide in helping others have the kinds of experiences they want in life, and in their relationships with others and themselves. Helping others find personal and relational wellness is where I found this.
I have a unique, diverse, and well-rounded educational and training background that is grounded in family systems, evidence-based models, and trauma-informed care interventions, in addition to mindfulness, body-centered, humanistic, and transpersonal integration approaches.
I specialize in helping couples, families, and individuals improve their relationships with themselves and others, work with life transitions, and much more. I also specialize in relationship enhancement, spiritual growth and exploration, life purpose and self-actualization.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Contemplative Psychology with concentrations in Humanistic & Transpersonal and Somatic Psychology from Naropa University.
I am an IFS (Internal Family Systems) and IFIO (Intimacy from the Inside Out) therapist. I am also an EMDR therapist and a Prepare/Enrich certified facilitator. I am also a certified life coach.
In my other half of life I was a heavy metal guitarist/singer/songwriter and band leader. My bands recorded albums and toured the U.S.
I am happily married, with one fur-child Aussie, Oz. I like to spend time with my husband and dog, travel, hike, jog, ski, read, write, meditate, attempt yoga, work on new projects, and deepen my knowledge and practice in all things related to psychology, relationships, well-being, and spirituality.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
