Approach and Focus
I specialize in helping individuals and couples deal with the difficulties and challenges life presents us. I work from an evidenced-based, strength-based approach, identifying and using the client’s strengths to manage anxiety and stress while building health and resilience. My areas of focus include coping with infertility, perinatal mental health, recurrent pregnancy loss, grief, chronic illness, and caregiver stress. I work collaboratively with my clients toward their individual or relationship goals. I look forward to working together towards optimum psychological health
I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy or CBT to help reduce anxiety, manage symptoms of depression, establish coping skills to deal with trauma while working towards improving your overall health and strengthening relationships. Other modalities used are Solution-Focused Therapy ( SFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy ( EFT). There is no one-size-fits-all to therapy. My style is warm and informal. I feel privileged to listen to your life stories and be a part of your journey.
Some of the topics I enjoy speaking about include infertility, maternal mental health, integrating brain health into the primary care setting, grief, loss, chronic illness, caregiver stress, creating a positive work culture, advance care planning, and resilience.
