Radiant Leaf Counseling

Pre-Licensed Professional, Professional Counselor Associate
Last Updated 30+ days ago

Hello, I'm Kombai,

I am a multilingual counselor, daughter of a refugee family, auntie, dancer, traveler, nature lover, and lifelong learner. I hold a master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling from Portland State University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development with a focus on early childhood education from California State University, East Bay.

As a bi-cultural individual, my practice is rooted in multicultural counseling, addressing the unique concerns of clients from diverse backgrounds, and valuing aspects such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, income, disability status, and other social factors.

I use the Internal Family System (IFS), a therapeutic modality, that recognizes that the mind comprises various subpersonalities or parts. These parts may assume roles they dislike as a result of trauma and attachment injuries, burdening them with intense emotions, memories, and sensations that become locked away. The goal is to establish harmony and balance within the system, acknowledging that wholeness is central to IFS, where all parts are welcomed and valued.

I welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC individuals, LGBTQIA+ community members, and those who are neurodivergent. Your unique perspectives and experiences contribute to the richness of our community, and I look forward to working collaboratively with you.
