Hello, I'm Corinne Simmons, and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to support you on your journey to better mental health. With nearly 30 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I've had the privilege of working with children, families, and adults, helping them navigate through various challenges and achieve their goals. My journey began in my native state of Mississippi, where I served as a Children's Therapist and a Crisis Therapist. Most recently, I worked at the Methodist Home for Children, where I found my most rewarding role as a therapist, guiding children and families towards healing and growth.

While my primary focus has been on children, I firmly believe that the entire family system plays a crucial role in the therapeutic process. This holistic approach allows me to address the root causes of issues and foster lasting change. In my practice, I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered approaches, always focusing on solutions rather than problems. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes.

I hold a Bachelor of Science from Tougaloo College, a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University, and a Master of Science in Counseling and Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. Since becoming a licensed therapist in 2010, I've dedicated myself to continuous learning and growth to provide the best possible care for my clients.

My areas of specialization include depression, LGBTQIA+ support, stress, OCD, spirituality, trauma, anger management, anxiety, family relationships, intimate/romantic relationships, gender identity, and multicultural/diversity issues. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or seeking general support, I'm here to help you navigate your unique path.

Outside of my professional life, I value the importance of balance and self-care. I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring nature, and engaging in activities that nourish my spirit. These personal interests help me stay grounded and bring a sense of empathy and understanding to my work.

I look forward to walking with you on your path to better mental health. Let's work together to find the solutions that will help you thrive.
