Hello, I'm Jewna Jah-wan-nah, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor born and raised in Washington DC. I graduated from the University of the District of Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in History and earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, a CACREP-approved school. I have a deep passion for working with adults of all nationalities, helping them navigate life's challenges and transitions.
My therapeutic approach is integrated, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, segments of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, person-centered therapy, and family systems, among others. I believe that reviewing one's family of origin can provide valuable insights into the areas of your life where you seek healing. My life's experiences and extensive training have equipped me to be your ally and biggest supporter as we bravely explore the connections in your history that may hold you back or trigger you to become a lesser version of yourself.
I strongly believe in the process of aligning with you as we walk through this healing journey together. My goal is to support you in growing and learning to embrace your best self unapologetically. I look forward to watching you thrive and achieve the personal growth you deserve. If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here to help.
