Dr. Lindsay Murn @ In Focus Psychotherapy
Hello! My name is Dr. Lindsay Murn and I am a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Minnesota and PsyPact approved provider. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and Master Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Practitioner. I have over 18 years of clinical and assessment experience with diverse populations across five states.
I am passionate about helping college students navigate the stressors and mental health challenges that can arise during young adulthood.
My approach is trauma-informed, psychodynamic, relational, culturally-responsive, and evidence-based -- integrating Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART; similar to EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic, and mindful self-compassion to provide clients with exceptional, individualized, effective therapy. My clients can find both immediate relief of symptoms and a deeper and fuller understanding of themselves during our work together.
I work with clients from all backgrounds, with special expertise in treating acute and complex trauma (e.g., accidents, abuse, sexual violence, loss, betrayal, etc.), grief, anxiety, shame, self-worth, relational concerns, ADHD, and stress and burnout. I work best with motivated, insightful individuals who are ready to make lasting changes. If this is you - schedule an appointment on my website.
