Caroline Burek

Licensed Dance/Movement Therapist, LCAT, BC-DMT
Last Updated 30+ days ago

Is it just me, or do a lot of these "bios" start to sound the same after a while? Finding a therapist online is difficult, which I know from personal experience. I am here to provide connections, help facilitate joy and offer a space for you to learn to express your needs and be supported. Our practice together will value your lived experiences as the primary material and will be co-created through empathy and open communication. These systems of mental health are not ones that want us to "feel better", thanks to capitalism and systemic racism. I want to offer a space to fight against that.
I have experience working with "high-risk" (read, traumatized and hurt) people living with mental illnesses and difficult experiences. I am comfortable working with what is often labeled as the more "severe" diagnoses and I focus of finding the health in every individual.
I am a New York State licensed creative arts therapist and a board certified dance/movement therapist. This helps me in finding creative and expressive ways to connect in therapy spaces for all different types of people. I believe we can all benefit from some extra support lately! Contact me for a free consult to see if working together will be a good fit.
