Alissa Wigdor
You are feeling overwhelmed, maybe even anxious, sad, or numb. You're ready to make a change to have your actions align with your values, and see improvements in how you feel. You want to work with someone who will help you feel safe, and will also work to encourage your growth.
I am a client-centered and affirming therapist. I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is important to achieving the goals of therapy.
I utilize evidence-based treatment, and have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, emotion focused therapy, and Gottman methods. I have a particular interest and expertise in adolescent and young adult adjustment, including coping with anxiety, depression, peer stress, and life challenges. I also provide cognitive and psychoeducational assessment (including executive functioning, ADHD, and learning disabilities).
